Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Hahn holds the Henkel-Endowed Chair of Sustainability Management at the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf (HHU) since 2018. Previously, from 2016 to 2018, he was Full Professor of Business Administration, esp. Sustainability Management at the University of Hohenheim and, from 2012 to 2016, Associate Professor of General Business Administration, esp. Corporate Sustainability at the University of Kassel. Following an apprenticeship as an advertising merchant, he began his academic career at the HHU studying Business Administration. After completing his doctorate in 2009, he worked at the HHU as an Assistant Professor for Business Administration, esp. Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility from 2010 to 2012 and habilitated in 2012.

Prof. Hahn is a member of numerous national and international scientific organizations and editorial boards as well as chairman of the Academic Commission for Sustainability Management of the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB).  His work is regularly published in high-ranking and internationally recognized journals and he is involved in several major third-party-funded research projects.
